2601.1 January Release for for Dynaway AM (Microsoft Asset Management) for Microsoft D365 Finance & Supply Chain Management
Thomas Krogh, our Principal Technology Specialist, shared information about updates within Dynaway Advanced Asset Management for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, which aims to accelerate the adoption and productive use of Asset Management for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.

- Advanced Asset Management
- Attributes are available for assets, functional locations, maintenance requests, and work orders. The following functionality has been added for attributes:
- Attribute value log, shows history of values
- Inherit attribute values. Values for attributes and be inherited onto sub-functional locations, installed assets and sub-assets.
- Inquire into attribute value across all types of data. This enables you to find all assets, functional locations, maintenance requests, and work orders with a given attribute and value.
- Planned attribute values. You can set up future attribute values and have them applied automatically.
- Attributes are available for assets, functional locations, maintenance requests, and work orders. The following functionality has been added for attributes:
- Dynaway Data Manipulation Toolbox
A new wizard has been added, enabling easy creation of maintenance workers. - Maintenance Strategy
The preventive overview for assets now also includes sub-assets and counter data, making it even easier to get insights into setup.
Setting up maintenance plans has also improved, you can add notes for the plan and there is a simulation so you can easily verify that all combinations of assets and jobs are set up in job type defaults. - Maintenance Tasks
You can now get pending tasks. For example you will get a task for expiration of warranty on assets. This allows you to react before it becomes an issue.

- Work Execution:
- Merging with Safe Work and Tasks: If you have license for either or both of "Safe Work" and "Tasks" modules, these are now found in the Work Execution application. This also brings with it improvements to the work execution modules, these include:
- Recently viewed and favorites lists
- Updated UI (larger fonts, color changes, etc.)
- Simpler select dialogs to decrease clicks required for the user
- Merging with Safe Work and Tasks: If you have license for either or both of "Safe Work" and "Tasks" modules, these are now found in the Work Execution application. This also brings with it improvements to the work execution modules, these include:
- Scheduling Board:
- New version: This is a replacement of the Planning Board application. This must be setup to use the virtual path "/scheduling" where Planning Board was using "/plan"
- Shared teams: Teams can now be shared between planners in the same manner and location as saved searches are shared. The teams are saved with area "TEAMS_PLAN".
- Team capacity overview: The Scheduling Board shows team capacity overview per day giving the planner more information on the current status of the scheduling process.
- Safe Work:
- Merge with Work Execution: The application has been merged with the Work Execution application for easier installation and streamlining of the user interface.

- Maintenance Tasks:
- Merge with Work Execution: The application has been merged with the Work Execution application for easier installation and streamlining of the user interface.
- Checklists for Tasks: Tasks can now have checklists. They use the same framework as for work order jobs ensuring that all related features are available as well, e.g. checklist actions.

If you want to install Dynaway Floor Plan, it must be in the virtual path floor-plan same as the work execution application is in work and scheduling board is in scheduling.

- Prototype: We make this prototype available for the public. This can be used to see outages and work orders in a Gantt chart.
- Note: You will need a specific license to see this module in the application.
