Production Management

Batching in production series

With VinCAD sales orders can be batched in production "series", which define the production period, as well as the delivery dates. For each production series VinCAD provides information on all sales orders in the series, the no. of elements, total amount sold, capacity reservations, etc. New sales orders are manually placed in the appropriate series, based on requested delivery date and available capacity. Sales orders can be split in different production batches, if necessary.

Production orders for an entire series are then created on the basis of the generated Bills of material and production route. For more advanced serial planning features please check the Advanced Serial Planning Module. It is also possible to use the standard master scheduling in Dynamics AX.

Production papers

VinCAD provides different types of production papers, including:

  • Production Book. This is a list of all items in a production series, and displays a scaled drawing, as well as information on all items needed for the assembly of each window or door.
  • Cut lists. These are lists of all profiles, accessories and possibly filling panels that need to be cut, with all relevant measures and machining information.
