The graphical interface displays a scaled drawing of the element. All changes to the size or the design of the element immediately update the drawing of the element.

Inside/outside view

The element drawing can be displayed from outside or inside.

Color

The elements are displayed in color, including the possibility to have different colors on the inside and outside, or different colors e.g. for the frame and the sashes.

Bills of Material

The Bills of Material (BOM) for the configured element is displayed in the configurator, and is immediately updated whenever the product is edited. When you click on an item in the BOM the corresponding item is highlighted on the drawing, and vice-versa. For all items in the BOM, relevant measurements are being calculated and displayed, such as the length of profiles, the size of sashes or glass panes, the number of fittings, paint consumption, etc. as well as machining that needs to be done.

VinCAD can manage a number of shapes for a profile, that are widely used by manufacturers.
