Advanced Serial Planning

The Advanced Serial Planning module is an add-on module. This module includes (among others) the following features:

  • The ability to subdivide each production series into a number of subseries, with a reserved percentage of the entire series capacity. This feature can also be used to reserve e.g. a certain percentage of each series to “expedite” orders.
  • Each item number for VinCAD standard elements can be specified to go into one of the defined subseries. This makes it possible to ensure that certain types of elements go into specific subseries.
  • The selected subseries type can be overrided for a specific sales order. This also makes it possible e.g. to select the “expedite” subseries.
  • The ability to specify one or more work centers as bottle necks.
  • Automatic assignment of a series to each sales order line, based on the requested delivery date, capacity reservations on each bottle neck and delivery time for items included in the BOM.
