Automatic generation of BOM and route

VinCAD automatically generates the BOM as well as the production route, based on the actual configuration of each window and door element. A preview of the BOM can be seen in the Product Configurator.

Dedicated solution for window and door manufacturing

VinCAD is a dedicated IT solution developed specifically for the window and door manufacturing companies. VinCAD extends the general functionality of Dynamics AX with dedicated functionality for this particular type of business, including a graphical Product Configurator.

VinCAD is implemented with Dynamics AX, so your staff already knows the user interface.

One system – one database

VinCAD uses the same database as Dynamics AX, so there is no redundant data, and no need for replicating or synchronizing data between multiple databases. Base data and products are easily created using the graphical Product Configurator, and with the possibility to copy and paste from already created data.

Order accuracy

Accurate order entry is imperative to make sure that the customer gets what he orders, and that you are able to manufacture what was confirmed to the customers. Rebuilds are costly, not to mention the loss of customer confidence. With VinCAD you get:

• A detailed drawing and description of all elements on the quote, so the customer can validate the order for confirmation.
• No reentry of any data is required, when a quote is confirmed, with the risk of introducing errors on reentry. This means that the elements which are quoted are also the elements that will be manufactured.
• When elements are edited to customer specifications, all configuration rules are checked on order entry, and any violations will be presented to the sales person at once. This ensures that errors can be corrected during order entry, and in the end it ensures that what is confirmed to the customer can actually be manufactured.
