At Dynaway we are pleased to welcome Brian Brok-Jørgensen as Partner Account Manager.

Mr. Brok-Jørgensen comes with deep market-knowledge on Time and Attendance, Manufacturing Execution Systems and Enterprise Asset Management Systems, having worked for more than 10 years within this area of expertise for global software providers such as Intentia, Infor, Wonderware and Mark Information.

Mr. Brok-Jørgensen also know Dynaway's domain seen from a customer perspective, having implemented Manufacturing Execution Systems for a global manufacturing company with more than 17,000 employees. 

Mr. Brok-Jørgensen will focus on the enterprise segment, primarily in the United States.

The Microsoft keynote at Convergence 2012 was all about the effects of the consumerization of IT. We as developers of business software can no longer make stiff requirements on which devices and operating systems our end-users are allowed to use. And we suddenly have to pay close attention to trends at the consumer level in order to be well prepared when these trends hit us with a wave of requirements on our software.

We also have to consider if our software can be positioned and made available in a different way than it used to be: Through the iPhone App Store, the Android Market or the Windows Phone Marketplace. Or said differently; we have to acknowledge that our end-users are also regular consumers that seek software solutions in a completely different way than they used to! And that the line of decision has also changed! It is no longer the rule that software-decisions involve the IT manager or any management what so ever.

For Dynaway the impact of consumerization was also visible at this year’s Convergence. For the first time we brought our brand new HTML 5 client for the Dynaway EAM solution. And being able to demonstrate this client on the brand new iPad definitely gave some attention. And at the same time demonstrate the solution on Windows Phone and Android was very convincing! So with regards to the maintenance personnel we are pretty well prepared at Dynaway - feel free to Bring Your Own Device for handling your work orders and maintenance checklists!

It has become somewhat of a tradition that we have a little extra up our sleeves at Convergence, and so also this year!
We will at Convergence 2012 announce a highly requested extension to Dynaway EAM - no details given here, but a little teaser to get your attention:

On the 1^st of November our Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution for Microsoft Dynamics AX was released. An integrated solution, utilizing the possibilities made available for AX.

EAM seamlessly integrates with Dynamics AX. For example the integration to Inventory Management and Procurement lets spare parts management utilize the standard Dynamics AX WMS functionality. Purchasing of spare parts and other inventory tasks can be linked directly to EAM while using the Dynamics AX workflow for Purchasing. EAM also fully integrates with General Ledger, making any expensive integration unnecessary - as would be required by any 3^rd party EAM solution.

EAM also include Equipment and Asset management were all your equipment is managed, and costs relating to maintenance can be tracked at any level in the equipment hierarchy. EAM’s work order management also enables you to make sure the right maintenance is performed at the right time, by using the resource scheduling and status follow up on the work orders.

”What happens in Vegas, does not have to stay in Vegas”. With that tagline, the scene is set for this years AXUG Summit, this year held in Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas. Dynamic Communities says that “The Summit is the premier annual conference for Dynamics AX users, AXUG Partners and key Dynamics AX personnel from Microsoft.” In Dynaway we believe that this is right, and therefore Dynaway is naturally participating in this summit. As a part of the official agenda for the summit, Dynaway will host the session “Manufacturing Execution – The value of an integrated environment” where Dynaway BLUE will be presented as the solution to this requirement.

On October 13th, Dynaways partner Microsolutions hosted a Manufacturing seminar in the beautiful surroundings of “Egeskov Slot” (http://www.egeskov.dk/). Even though that the setting is a 16^th century building, the focus of the seminar was to give the participants a glimpse of the brand new technology launched with Dynamics AX 2012. Microsolutions skilled consultants presented a set of sessions, all focused on challenges found in many discrete manufacturing companies. Sessions also included a presentation of Solidworks Enterprise PDM by Teamworks (http://www.teamworks.dk/) and of course Dynaways manufacturing execution companion BLUE (http://www.dynaway.com/blue).

The success of this seminar also Microsolutions to host another production seminar, this time focused on the issues found in Process Manufacturing companies, specifically chemical and food production. More info found on http://www.microsolutions.dk/

The students who have assisted Dynaway in building the two Dynaway LEGO factories will participate in the World Robot Olympiad in Abu Dhabi.
Both LEGO factories will be shipped to Abu Dhabi to showcase the possibilities with the LEGO Mindstorm system.

As before, we will stick to the principle of keeping an arm's length to our owners.

As part of the agreement, extra development resources will be allocated to allow us to offer even better products to you and your customers. Apart from this, you will not experience any changes.

We will however shortly announce a new addition to our product portfolio as a result of the merger, which will augment the BLUE and EAM products and to an even greater extent provide our partners with a one-stop-shop for Dynamics AX solutions for the factory floor.
